Parents have to actively engage/participate and scheduled for an appointment. The need would have to be of low-income, single parent, employment, job searching, laid off, let go, school closures, working from home so parent/caregivers have an environment "safe haven" to manage both. We have emergency appointments; schedule peer to peer group meeting/appointments, job search and other resources. We offer a safe haven for parents to get back on their feet while dealing with covid and who are currently experiencing covid related issues. Participating and scheduling an appointment with our organization leaves parents with a peace of mind and stress free to have a learn through play environment that caters to 3+ through 12 years old. School age children who also participate in are out of school virtual learning can also do their schoolwork while parents are actively job searching, in scheduled peer meetings and inquiring about other resources. Child's ages 3+ through 12 years old are welcomed under the supervision of parents or designated caregiver.

Our "Blues Clues for Mommy's" is a peer-to-peer appointment base group. This parent group is an educational support system for parents. MISI creates Imagination, creative learning through play, fun frequent opportunities for parents to share thoughts, activities and philosophies on "what works".

Blue's Clues for Mommy's focuses on 4 key components to success.

1. Brain Development-How the child's brain develops, and harmful effects of drugs and alcohol.

2. Harmful Media- Understanding media (TV, Internet, Radio, Print) messages and changing their impact in their family individual homes.

3. Social Norms- Identifying and changing social norms affecting individual community household.

4. Building Parent Peer Groups-How to create the expand the positive impact of Parent Peer to Peer groups in the community and the positive affects it has on households.

MISI has a variety of toys paradise create a movement in the community and engage children and families to produce happy and healthy

bonds. Our well trained, qualified and interactive instructors and volunteers focus on providing each family with customer service, security, cleanliness of the center, and interactive of the center during everyday operations. We have filled our center with activities that engage the children's imagination, encourage teamwork and stimulate their natural curiosity to understand and explore the world around them.

Vision Statement

The overall picture is happy and healthy families. Parents getting back into the work force and finding and sustaining employment. For parents to recover after the covid-19 pandemic, to provide those of low income, single parent households, those households of the black community with a safe haven for children and a place where parents can get back on their feet.

The 5 solution that Mommy's Imagination Stands by is to let every child's imagination run wild.  And to ensure that parents are proactively participating to engage in parent to child bonding time. Fatigue associated with working and raising a child independently contributes to parenting difficulties. Single parents are likely to have less time for a social life or other activities, intensifying feelings of isolation and negatively impacting mental health. When the increased burdens of single parenting are associated with exhaustion, isolation, and depression, the evolution of developmental and behavioral problems in the child is more likely. More resources for mothers mean, income for households, less stress on the mother. In which happy children make a better world! Parents with a better support system for themselves and their children make a better and safer homes. Our aim is to ensure that creative and healthy concepts make children feel happy and good, so they can be themselves.

This makes it easier for us to stay current with our clientele’s needs.  We want to provide the best experience to your families as we would with ours!

"Being a child means laughing, exploring, playing, living in a never-ending fantasy, their wild and carefree imagination, having self-confidence, respect, being creative, honest and above all unbiased. At this young age, millions of connections are made in the brain that will define the rest of children's lives which starts with infancy to 8 years old. Parents need more resources and a support system. Parents need to keep up on socialization skills and understand that they're not alone that there is someone out there just like them, tired, lonely, needing a break, confused, feeling stuck, unsure, battling the covid -19 pandemic, and a number relateable issue when schools re closed due to the pandemic, etc.  However, we want parents to also have a safe place to relax and unwind, that they also deserve!"

MEET PRESIDENT
TASHANNA HALL

Making You Smile

Meet The President: Tashanna Hall

Hi! I am Tashanna Hall, Founder and President of MOMMY'S IMAGINATION STATION. This nonprofit is a 501C3 tax exempt organization, established in Feb 2020.  I’m excited to be part of a business that caters to parents, and children. I have a Degree in Business.  I am "CURRENTLY STILL" a Pennsylvania State License Daycare Provider working on Keystone Star 3 in the Pittsburgh area, established in February 2018. Partnering with Trying Together, Keystone Stars, and ELRC. I am a mother of two beautiful daughters.  I guess things change when you have your own little ones! What sparked my passion to found Mommy's Imagination Station? I am a parent; I know what it's like when you can't work due to pandemic, job search or need a safe haven to breath and have a moment. I also know what it's like to have every day seem like it's "take your child to work day" lol. I get it!  Have you ever taken your child(ren) to fill out an application? Have you ever had your child(ren) sit in on a meeting? Have you ever taken your child(ren) on a job interview? Wait, how about have you ever just needed a mental health break and/or needed a peer-to-peer meeting? Did you have to take your child(ren) with you? I am sure you have if you are a parent, especially since the Covid- 19 Pandemic! Speaking of Covid what do parents and caregivers do when schools and daycares are closed, and you can't work? What do you do when you work from home? How do you do it with the child(ren) virtually in school? It's a lot, right? I too know how it feels!  MISI is a much-needed demand for the community and working families in general. This Pandemic hit everyone globally. I can sympathize with you! MOMMY'S IMAGINATION STATION is your safe haven! I have faced some of the same challenges. It's a pleasure to have finally meet you :)
